Basically we’ll spend a full day exploring the city. It is a mix and match of the other tours with some extra specialties.

This tour takes you basically to all historical quarters of Timisoara: Cetate – the historical center, Iosefin – along the river Bega, once the location of a flourishing port, Elisabetin – the former summer residence of the local bourgeoisie, famous for its Art Nouveau architecture and Fabric – famous for its Jewish legacy. Some of the highlights: the place where the 1989 anti-communist revolution started, laid back non-touristy streets with beautiful architectural details, especially doors (did you know that Timisoara is famous for its doors?), the remaining walls of the old city fortress, impressive Art Nouveau architectural sites, a visit to an independent museum dedicated to communism and the revolution, beer tasting at the oldest brewery in Romania.

This is a long tour. We’ll take it easy and have refreshment breaks along the way whenever you’re tired. We will walk and also take the tram. We will stop for lunch to enjoy a traditional meal and desert.

The programme of this tour is flexible, depending on your time and interests.
